RAW Space
529 West 42nd Street (between 10th / 11th Avenues)
Large basement rehearsal space with rooms that could be used for public performances. Later home to the All Stars Project, which sponsored inner-city youth after-school programs.
From the 1920's through the early 1960's, the building was the armory for the 77th "Statue of Liberty" Division of the United States Army Reserve. In the early 1980's, the building's eight stories above ground were developed as co-op apartments.
