332 Amsterdam (at West 76th Street)
In contrast to its neighbor to the south, this building had a somewhat less attractive pedigree. A 1926 City Directory lists occupants of the site as Hassler NY Co. (auto supplies), Harry J. Dornan (auto supplies), and W.G. Young and Co. (206 West 76th, auto repairs). I recall it being an abandoned service station when I came to the neighborhood in the early 1990s and the lot became the home to a Jewish Community Center in 2000.
