Hyde Cultural Center
This was the auditorium on the campus of the former Amherst College. In 1996 the campus had been incorporated into the Hyde School, which was a boarding school for troubled students that stressed values (truth, honesty, integrity, courage, and accountability) over academic performance. When we visited in 2001, the facility was the Hyde Cultural Center.
In 2017 campus was closed and sold to Woodstock Academy. In 2019, Joan Loos funded a renovation of the facility to become the Loos Center for the Arts.
