A nonprofit corporation, Rahway Landmarks, was formed to purchace the faded theatre in 1984 and the Union County (NJ) Board of Chosen Freeholders officially changed the name to the Union County Arts Center in 1985. The primary interior restoration occured from from 1986 to 1990 with a facade restoration in 1996.(4/20/02)
