The Cheboygan Opera House is on the upper floors of the city hall. In contrast to the trend in NYC of keeping theatre exteriors and gutting the interiors, a 1980s renovation lovingly restored the interior while cladding the building with an unfortunate mansard roof that was the fashion of the time.
