Champ Clark Bridge

The Champ Clark Bridge is a 5-span Pennsylvania through truss that carries US Highway 54 over the Mississippi River. It opened in 1928 and in 2012 was carrying an average of 3,400 cars per day. The total length is 2,287 feet and the longest span is 417 feet. The bridge is named after James Beauchamp Clark (1850-1921) who was a Democratic representative from Missouri fron 1893-1921 and was Speaker of the House from 1911 - 1919.
