The Minskoff is part of an office building that was built on the site of the demolished Astor Hotel at one of the lowest points in Broadway history. Past productions include Pippin (1977), The Tap Dance Kid (1984), Sunset Boulevard (1994) and The Scarlet Pimpfromhell (1997). The 2,100-seat Nokia Theatre is a concert venue that was the Astor Plaza movie theatre until 2004. The Minskoff is above street level and the Nokia is below street level.
