Passarelle Overpass / Entrance / Building

The entrance to the park from the #7 train is the Passarelle Entrance via the Passarelle Overpass over the LIRR tracks and MTA subway train yard. The plaza building includes a comfort station and recreation rooms and the ground level includes a group of crumbling circular mosaics that commemorate the past fairs.

This entrance to the park does manage to evoke a feeling of anticipation as you approach it. However, with the fair long gone, the visitor is deposited into a fairly uninteresting section of the park - a buildup to disappointment.
