Seventh Regiment Memorial of 1861-1865

West Drive at around 69th Street

This sculpture by John Quincy Adams Ward was donated by the Seventh Regiment National Guard, State of NY and dedicated in 1870 to the memory of the 58 members of the Seventh Regiment killed in the American Civil War. The sculpture was cast in Philadelphia by R. Wood & Company and is installed on a pedestal by Richard Morris Hunt.
