Springbanks Arch
Built in 1863 by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould
Stone arch vehicle bridge (Hudson River Valley sandstone)
Carries the bridle path and a service road over a
pedestrian path just north of North Meadow around 102nd street
An secluded arch with an unusually low clearance of around six feet. Connects the North Meadow with The Ravine. A small spring on the south side of the bridge drains into a pipe that passes under the bridge and empties into Montayne's Rivulet in the Ravine. (reference)
