LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch: White Pot Junction
Rego Park, Queens, NY
White Pot Junction is where the Glendale Cutoff opened in 1910 to connect the LIRR main line to the Rockaway Beach Branch. It includes a turnout from the eastbound track and a tunnel under the main like to connect to the westbound track. The junction has presumably not been active since the Rockaway Beach Branch closed 1962. Not being bold enough tresspass on the LIRR main line ROW, the best image I could get was a passing video from a Babylon Branch train the overgrown turnout area on the south side of the main line.
