Uptown Dairies

In the early 20th century there were least three different dairy buildings around 125th Street. Raw milk was shipped in via the Hudson River rail line just to the west.

In the 1930s, dairies began serving the city from processing facilities outside of Manhattan and these buildings were repurposed.
