Sunset Reservoir
The subterranean Sunset Reservoir in San Francisco's Sunset District is one of three terminal reservoirs in the city's regional water system. It covers 11 acres, can hold 270 acre-feet of water and has an average daily flow of 46 acre-feet.
In 2010, Recurrent Energy installed 24,000 solar panels on the roof of the reservoir to build a urban solar plant rated at 5MW.
