West Allis

West Allis is a first-generation postwar suburb that was a pleasant walk on an early Summer evening. For its age the houses and streets were surprisingly clean and well-maintained, although the white, working-class demographic didn't make it the most welcoming to a Democratic volunteer in a bitterly contested election.
