TOD Field Trip: Gold Line

We were joined on the Gold Line platform by Alexander Kalamaros (DPDS, AICP), who was our guide for the rest of the day. Notable features of the Union Station yard were the Amtrak baggage facility that might be the site of the new HSR concourse, and Mozaic, a project that Metro refers to as "transit-ADJACENT development" since it is spurred by the availability of transit but not directly controlled by Metro or built on Metro-controlled land, which would define "transit-ORIENTED development."
