Easton State Theatre
Design inspired by the architecture of old Spain and the Davanzanti Place in Florence, Italy. Originally used for vaudeville and motion pictures, the theatre survived the '70s by hosting rock concerts. Facing demolition in 1981, A community group, Friends of the State Theatre, purchased the theatre and established it as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. From 1986 to 1990 the facility underwent major renovations to upgrade the stage for modern productions and restore the theatre to its original opulence.
