Architect: Thomas Lamb
Built for the Mastbaum chain of theatres and named for one of the Mastbaum brothers. Design is called "Mexican baroque" for its unique blend of diverse styles. The Central New York Community Arts Council, Inc. purchased the Stanley in 1974 and has made incremental renovations over the years to restore the theatre to its original condition. Sadly, I've never played here, having two scheduled shows cancelled.
Maybe I don't have any compassion. Maybe these things I am doing are not altruistic. If you do it for altruistic reasons, it will collapse. To do good just to feel good is no good. (Richard Egan, founder of EMC)
