Built in 1934 to form Sackett Lake just south of Monticello, NY in the Catskills. May have had an association with Winston Camp, which, I assume was a summer camp back when the Catskills was a summer getaway for families trying to get out of the nastiness of summer in The City.
Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of? (William Shakespeare)
