Champaign Grain Elevator
This decommissioned grain elevator sat just to the north of I-74 along the CN rail line to Chicago. It had an ADM trespassing sign, and I assume it was demolished because of obsolescence and/or changing geographies of grain logistics.
We find that the surface of the country over which a drive must be taken to reach your property...is like the country generally about Chicago, not merely uninteresting, but, during much of the year, positively dreary. (Frederick Law Olmsted, 1868)
