72nd Street Station

The 72nd Street Station will run underneath 2nd Avenue between 69th Street and 73rd Street. There are three planned entrances: NW corner of 72nd at 2nd Avenue, NE corner of 72nd at 2nd Avenue and the NE corner of 69th Street and 2nd Avenue. Two buildings are scheduled to be demolished: the NW corner at 72nd Street (Falk Surgical Supplies) and two buildings on the NW corner of 69th Street (Drink, Da Filppo Restaurant). The reason for demolishing the 69th Street buildings in not immediately obvious since no street level entrance is planned for that corner.
