One of the true absurdities of the early 21st century building boom - 43-story, 45-apartment "sliver" building by architect Ismael Leyva that protrudes from a footprint at 48th Street not much larger than a single brownstone. One must wonder about how it will deal with wind loading and potential seismic issues, aside just being a butt-ugly assertion of penis-size compensation.
