485-491 Ninth Avenue (401 West 37th Street)
I've gotten a handful of inquiries about this odd survivor
of urban renewal since I left the city, but I know nothing more about its provenance
or ownership. There does appear to be a bankruptcy involved in some
2007 legal action.
A sidewalk shed observed in 2013 appeard to be for remedial work since the
derelict building was shedding bricks. You can check the
