Riverwalk 72nd - 79th St.The narrow river walk separating the river from the West Side Highway is an area for biking and walking. A decade ago the effluent from factories and cities further upstream made the Hudson river a sewer. The closing of the factories and improvements mandated by the Clean Water Act brought life back to the Hudson.
