Lawn Sports
The park has two fields for lawn sports just to the northwest
of the Sheep Meadow, with 15,000 square feet of closely
cropped grass for lawn bowling and croquet. The fields were
built in 1926 for the New York Lawn Bowling Club with
patrons required to adhere to the British tradition of wearing
white.
