Wollman Rink is a 33,000-square-foot rink located in the southeast corner of the park at 63rd street. The facility opened in 1950 and is was named by philanthropist Kate Wollman, who donated funds for its construction in memory of her parents and siblings.

The rink fell into disrepair during the city's financial crisis in the 1970s. A planned two-year renovation starting in 1980 remained incomplete until Donald Trump leased the rink in 1986, finished the renovation in six months, and plastered his name on the Zamboni. Say what you will about him, but he gets stuff done.

The Rink is converted into a small amusement park in the Summer.
