Broadway Bridge

The Broadway Bridge carries Broadway vehicular traffic and the IRT #1 subway line like across the Harlem River to the Bronx at the northern tip of Manhattan.

The Broadway Bridge is a lift bridge that is the third incarnation within the same general structure. It opened to train traffic on December 26, 1960 and vehicular traffic on July 1, 1962.
