Departure Day in Tel AvivOur flight back to the U.S. didn't leave until 11:20pm, so we got an extra bonus day in Tel Aviv. Most of it was dedicated to the Eretz Israel Museum, which, unlike the Diaspora Museum, actually had alot of original artifacts. On returning to the hotel, I convinced my mom to join me for a walk through the Carmel Market and to some fabric stores. However, she's not much for third-worldish crowds and wasn't much impressed. We concluded our evening with a dinner at a Chinese restaurant around the corner from our hotel - finally satisfying my curiosity about what Chinese food would be like in Israel. It actually wasn't much different from what we have in the states. A brief final sunset walk on the beach and it was time to leave for the airport.
