The Chamberlin Observatory is owned and operated by the University of Denver and is located in Denver's Observatory Park, in the southern part of the city. The Romanesque structure was designed by Robert S. Roeschlaub, with astronomical functions designed by Herbert Alonzo Howe. The 20-inch refracting telescope was made by Alvan Clark and Sons. The observatory is named for Humphrey B. Chamberlin, a developer who funded the construction.
