This 44,321-seat baseball stadium for the Chicago White Sox opened on 18 April 1991 across the street from the original 1910 Comiskey Park. The clean, symmetrical cookie-cutter design by HOK Sport was stylistically outmoded with the opening in 1994 of the retro Camden Yards stadium in Baltimore - which is doubly tragic since a retro design was considered for the new Comisky. U.S. Cellular bought the naming right to the field in 2003. (reference)
