Charles le Picq (1744-1806)

Charles le Picq was a French dancer and choreographer who studied with Noverre. Subsequently staged many of Noverre's ballets in many European countries. He was one of Noverre's most loyal pupils, and was responsible for the Naples and St. Petersburg editions of Noverre's LETTER SUR LA DANSE. He was also known as the "Apollo" of the dance. He danced opposite Madeleine Guimard.
