Irvine Auditorium

University of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, PA
Built 1929
Seats 1,249

The auditorium, on the Perelman Quad, was designed by Julian Abele, the first African-American graduate of Penn's School of architecture. The room's high ceilings, long reverb and confusing backstage make it more appropriate for music than drama.
