Irvine Auditorium

University of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, PA
Built 1929
Seats 1,249

The auditorium, on the Perelman Quad, was designed by Julian Abele, the first African-American graduate of Penn's School of architecture. The room's high ceilings, long reverb and confusing backstage make it more appropriate for music than drama.

If you put yourself out there authentically, you're going to attract people who think like you. (Casey Dienel - White Hinterland)
